BUYING GUIDE & FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a pendant light and a chandelier?
Pendant lights typically feature a single suspended bulb or compact cluster, ideal for targeted accent illumination over dining tables, kitchen islands, or bedside tables. Chandeliers feature multi-arm or multi-tiered branches designed as the central room statement.
How many pendant lights should I hang over a kitchen island or dining counter?
The rule of odd numbers (especially 2 or 3 lights) works best. Maintain 24 to 30 inches of space between each fixture, and ensure at least 12 to 18 inches of clearance from each edge of the counter.
Can the suspension cord or rod height be adjusted during installation?
Yes, all Bliss & Birch hanging lights include adjustable woven cords or modular extension rods (up to 120-150 cm), letting you customize the drop height for standard or double-height ceilings.
What light color temperature is recommended for living room pendant lights?
Warm White (2700K to 3000K) is ideal for dining and living areas to create a relaxing, ambient mood. For food preparation zones, Natural White (4000K) provides crisp clarity without harsh glare.
